Revalidation

The most common fault in vacuum interrupters is degradation of vacuum. VIL has designed and built magnetron apparatus that can measure vacuum levels inside vacuum interrupters whilst still sealed. Combined with general inspection, this enables us to revalidate and certify old interrupters for a further period of service.

We also use the magnetron for our research into the fault rate of interrupters, and the rate of pressure degradation
